“What we see in TV, newspapers and social networking sites cannot be considered as our culture,” said former president of the Janapada Academy, Pichalli Srinivas.
He was speaking after inaugurating the valedictory session of the annual cultural activities of the Maharaja College on Saturday.
“Mysuru is a land of art, culture, and tradition. The contributions of the Maharajas of Mysuru can never be forgotten. Male Mahadeshwara, Manteswamy and other great philosophers and saints have been part of this region. It is the duty of the youth to carry forward this rich heritage,” he opined.
Principal of the college, Prof CP Sunita, actors Mimicry Gopal and Srihari, administrative officer Dr L Limbya Naik, convener of extracurricular activities’ committee, Dr S T Ramachandra and others were present.
