Mysuru, January 23:- “Youths of the nation are not heading in the right direction,” opined the Vice Chancellor of University of Mysore (UoM) Prof G Hemanth Kumar.
He was speaking at the 122nd Subhash Chandra Bose birth anniversary organised by Netaji Birth Centenary Committee and UoM Library on Wednesday.
“Students should be taught about the life and ideologies of people like Subhash Chandra Bose. We need a strong foundation of ideologies to build a strong nation. By observing the birth anniversaries of great people, we will get to learn more about them,” he added.
Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath called upon the students to have a patriotic mindset and follow the ideologies of Subhash Chandra Bose.
Senior freedom fighter M G Krishnamurthy, former speaker of Vidhana Sabha Krishna, editor of Andolana Kannada daily Ravi Koti, director of the Department of Archaeology Dr S Shivarajappa and others were present. (MR/GK)
