‘Yuva Sambhrama’, a major attraction for youths, which is a part of Yuva Dasara will begin from Friday, at Open Air Theatre of Manasagangotri.
Hundreds of students from more than hundred colleges will perform in the Yuva Sambhrama. The selected performances among these will be staged in Yuva Dasara. Yuva Dasara will begin from October 3 at Maharaja’s college grounds.
The six day event is a special stage for the students to give their best performance and make it to Yuva Dasara. Minister for Public Works department and district In-charge minister, Dr H C Mahadevappa Will be inaugurating the six day long cultural bonanza. Cooperation and Sugar minister H S Mahadev Prasad, Primary and Secondary Education minister Tanveer Sait., Mayor B L Byrappa and MLA Vasu will be present on the occassion.
Speaking to the media after releasing the poster of Yuva Sambhrama, Superintendent of police, and also the Deputy special officer of Yuva Dasara subcommittee Ravi D Channannavar said: “Yuva Sambhrama will begin at 6 pm and will conclude by 10 pm. The city police have arranged for all the security measures for the event. 500 police officials are deployed to ensure security. One assistant commissioner, three inspectors, 25 sub inspectors, one KSRP unit will ensure the safety. 25 CCTV cameras are installed at the premises”.
Deputy Commissioner D Randeep, Deputy Commissioners of Police Dr H T Shekar and N Rudraswamy were present in the press meet.
